Garden Party
Shhhh don't tell anyone - I did all the planning, design, and creating for my own bridal shower, though I let everyone think otherwise at the time! It was just too much fun to decorate and design for, it was more of a gift to be able to do it than to let someone else!
Themes: spring, tea party, floral, garden party, girly.
A backyard bridal shower
Invitations were printed on handmade paper with pieces of flower petals embedded. One of my favorite fonts, Hoedown, was used for the titles, and a wax stamp with a real flower were pressed into the envelope. Art on the invitations was sourced. I hand wrote all addresses.

The party
My sister and mom both helped make the tastiest finger food, like matcha cookies, blueberry and goat cheese sandwiches, scones, and prosciutto bites (as you can see from the photos, so much of it was gone before I could even get a picture!) All the drinks were fruity and tea-inspired or infused. My sister's rose cupcakes that she made herself were the biggest hit!
As far as decorations went, I sourced most from my own collections, and thrifted for decorative vintage tea saucers and serve ware. I created the pennant garlands by simply cutting remnant fabric triangles and running them along one after another through a sewing machine. I printed and framed black and white photos of my fiancé and I for the tables, placing them alongside vintage books, candlesticks, tea cups, and bunches of fresh flowers.
Party favors were folding fans, vintage floral handkerchiefs, and seed packets with designs that I block printed on the envelopes.
We also played a game where I had to guess who brought which (new) panties based on personality!
